Is Photoshopping review photos allowed?

Is Photoshopping of review photos allowed? Is it OK to add a fountain to a location or remove utility poles and traffic lights? Is a photo of a different outlet in a chain of restaurants considered relevant? Are the rules the same for management submissions as for regular member submissions? My questions are not addressed by Help Center links I have found.

None of the guidelines seem to apply to the 'Photos from around the world'

They are all from other sources, many are irrelevant or of different places and are copyrighted to others.

Do I keep reporting a "Photo from around the world" as inappropriate for showing a pond and a fountain that is not at the restaurant? It might not be photoshopped, it might be from a different location in the chain and therefore considered slightly relevant.

I do not think that TripAdvisor has enough staff to correct all the photos. mymsman's has a good point, the photo rules only apply to photos from members.

I've found that many 'outside' pictures (of Vacation Rentals) were taken a long time ago, and therefore don't show the other buildings which have sprung up around them, neither do they show utility poles etc. But they haven't been Photo-Shopped!

Is this a possibility in your case?

'Photos from around the world' are automatically suspicious so I don't think you need have any hesitation in reporting them if you have any doubts that they are not of the correct property.
