TripAdvisor receives an average of 11,000 reviews each day. With the sheer volume of reviews, the vetting system needs to be semi-automated. If the system detects something within a review that requires a closer look by TA staff, it sets that review aside for additional, human attention. Unfortunately, the system can’t discern between single-day and multi-day comments, so the slip through.
As you have been advised above, you can alert TA staff to these reviews by using the “Problem with this review?” button within the review. The inappropriate reviews, or the entire listing if it doesn’t meet the criteria, will be removed by TA staff.
