Need to know whether this aircraft (United) is fitted with the adjustable foot rests or should I bring along my fold-up footrest for my Paris trip?
It might depend on class of travel - in my experience any footrest in economy is fixed.
There is no foot rest in economy (or E+ which is just economy with more legroom). And I'm not sure how a fold up foot rest would work in a normal (non exit row or bulkhead) economy seat. BusinessFirst has fully adjustable seats converting to flat beds, so yes on there.
Just FYI :) going for 2 months to Europe this July. We are in an exit row where I always bring my blow up foot rest from Travel Smith which is great! Used it before on a trip to Frankfrut last year, again in an exit row. Both flights with united. Never have been in just economy so I cannot tell you if my footrest would work. Will be in buisness first on United comming back and the seat reclines. now I do know on Air New Zealand when we went over to New Zealand in coach it was wonderful, had an adjustable foot rest for you and what comfort! Enjoy your trip to Paris. That is where we are going.
Hmmmmm. Never heard of an inflatable footrest. I'll have to check that out. Mine is plastic, about 9 inches long, 4 inches wide and stands about 4 inches off the floor when the foldable ends (legs) are down. Just enough comfort to take the pressure off the back of the thighs on those long-haul flights. It weighs about one pound, though. The footrests that some aircraft have that can be clicked up/down are much better but one just never knows if they'll be available. One way to make sure is to take mine along!

Blow-Up Foot Rest
16¼"x 14½" x 11" (inflated); 4½" x 5¾" (closed & folded).
Hope this helps. Listen I enjoy a good flight, and Germany was over 11 hrs. And with me being able to extend my legs and have my foot rest was perfect. I know what you are using, saw it in a Magellans catalog. This has 22 reviews all 5 stars. I think you will like it. It inflates. Fast, you can adjust amount. Deflates and packs in a pouch and fits in my on board carry on.
