3:20 minute Connection at Heathrow BA T5-T3

Hello All,

Am considering taking BA for a trip to Europe. Is a 3 Hour, 20 minute connection enough for a BA Terminal 5 to BA Terminal 3 transfer? I know Heathrow can get backed up in general, but I would appreciate any advice that could be given.

Thanks,

Just over three hours should be sufficient. If you book a through ticket and for some unforeseen reason don't make the connection then BA will help you rebook on the next available flight from LHR T3.

The good news about BA flights from T3 is that as of 17 September the bus gates are going to be consigned to history's enhancement bin. With some of the airline moves at Heathrow gates will be freed up which will be a great benefit to pax who dislike having to sit in less than stellar surroundings waiting for buses across the apron.

To what city will you fly from T3?

Assuming you book all the flights on one ticket (a true connection at Heathrow) then YES 3hr20 is more than enough time. The minimum connection time the airlines book to for T5-T3 is 90 minutes so you have plenty of slack to absorb a delay and/or long waits for buses and security during the transit.
