I can only add 25kg while the airline actually allows 40kg

I can only add 25kg while the airline actually allows 40kg

Hey guys,

I was hoping someone can help me with this. I want to book a flight with trip advisor. Flight is Singapore to Perth with scoot air and the booking will be over Budgetair.ie everything is fine the only thing is that going to the scoot website about baggage allowence it states that u are able to option up to 40kg. Now booking over tripadvisor and Budgetair and clicking on baggage it gives me only the option till 25kg. I need 30kg

so my question is why can't I option the 40kg? Why is 25kg the max? When it's clearly stated on scoots site that up to 40 is possible?

Why not book direct with the airline(s) rather than via a 3rd party - if you are currently seeing a lower fare with the 3rd party don't be surprised to be told it's no longer available when you finalise the booking.

< Why is 25kg the max? >

Because that is what budgetair say you can have. If you want 30kg then book with Scoot not with some 3rd party

A simple search of Budgetair on here will reveal that it may not be as fine as you think.

www.flyscoot.com is the site to use.

You WILL NOT (100% guaranteed) find a fare lower than their own website.

Do not book through 3rd party site (ie: budgetair)

Scoot is really cheap anyway so no need to book through budgetair (or whoever they are).

You are of course right at some points but the air fee is just so much lower then with the airline itself. Could be that they will say it's not possible at the end but I have good experience with that particular 3rd party in general and would prefer to safe the cash.

I'm just wondering why the option to 40kg is not there just doesn't make sense cause they charge that anyway at the same price as the airline

Sounds like a recipe for disaster

Maybe they have negotiated a deal for less luggage and the price is lower?

Either way, I would book with the airline direct also.

Andreas, you've had some very good advice about booking directly. It's up to you whether you ignore this or not, but I agree that there is very little advantage in using a third party.

As for your question, I would think only Budgetair could answer.
