Airline passengers avoid $130 xs by wearing their luggage

Two male passengers have defied airline staff by piling on all of their clothes to avoid paying an excess luggage fee

The pair were checked in to fly from Singapore to Sydney on Scoot airline

Airline staff let the comical pair wear the extra attire but threatened to check they were still dressed like that when they boarded the plane

How pathetic. If you can't afford to pay for your excess luggage, then learn how to weigh your luggage so you only carry what you're permitted to

Well, needs must, just glad I'm not that short of cash anymore where I would have to do something like this.

I think that we will see more, or similar.

In one recent thread, one pax had created an overcoat, into which all of the carry-on items fit into pockets, to keep from paying for carry-on... I can just see most pax boarding, looking like Bibendum, the Michelin Man.

They'll probably come on here moaning that the airline's seats were too narrow.

"I think that we will see more, or similar."

And eventually they'll start putting scales at the check-in counter and you'll have to get weighed before you board, just as you do on some of the Grand Canyon air tours out of Vegas.

MrMarcoos,

<<They'll probably come on here moaning that the airline's seats were too narrow.>>

They already do that. However, we will likely see even more, than ever before. I can imagine Spirit Airlines, or ACR, running out of seatbelt extenders!

Also, with the great number of folk, who wish to take all their own food (to cities like Paris, Madrid, Hong Kong, which obviously do not have food) on flights, imagine a trench coat with pork chops sewn into the lining!!!!

I fear that things will get worse, and even stranger.

Oh lighten up guys.

Seriously - it's a bit if fun that hasn't hurt anyone.

How can you comment on their financial situation when you don't know their specific circumstances. I'm very glad some of you obviously don't have the financial imposts that others experience - but really, come on and smell the roses for a change.

Life is supposed to be a bit of fun, not all doom and gloom as some of you have made out.

Chill.......
