Thomson online check in- Boarding Passes

I'm trying to print my boarding passes, but it looks like my printer has took a hissy fit.

All the black writing, barcodes etc (everything in black writing) is fine, perfectly legible, but the coloured stuff, (company logos etc) are a mixture of pale blue, pale pink and pale purple. (thought the ink was low, but it says its not)

Would these boarding passes be acceptable at the airport?

Note to self- its time for a decent printer!!

As long as the bar code is clear enough to scan it's fine. The colours of logos etc doesn't matter.

Thanks for the speedy reply Leyland.

Panic over, thought I would have to pull out for a new printer before pay day.

As per Thomson website :-

<<Print each boarding pass clearly on an individual piece of A4 paper. The barcode on the pass will need to be scanned at the airport, so the page mustn't have any rips or tears. Your boarding pass is an official security document, so you'll need to keep it safe until you reach your destination. Just so you know, we can't accept any unclear, faded or blurry boarding passes>>

I'm pretty sure the "unclear, faded or blurry" refers mainly to the bar code. The logo doesn't have to in Thomson colours. We always print boarding passes in black and white.

If you have a tablet or smartphone, there are plenty of free barcode scanners you can download. If I remember correctly, the ones on boarding cards are type 417. I've found the Manatee ones work well.

Provided the scanner can read the barcode, you'll be fine.

Just had confirmation from Thomson, there is no problem with the colour of the print, as long as the barcode is clear enough to scan. As Leyland said, they can also be printed in black and white, or printed for you at the check in desks.

Always print off my holiday paperwork in black and white -never had a problem at the airport at either end.

I have check in on line with Thomson but I don't have a printer. Could go to the library but would it be ok to just go to the check in desk as normal seeing we have to put luggage in. I check in on line because I wanted to see what seats we have been allocated

Does anyone know if this would be ok?

I'd print them at the library.

Does the boarding pass replace your e-ticket?
