We traveled with British Airways on a flight from Belfast City to London Heathrow on September 15th.
Long story short, the flight ended up delayed about two hours due to mechanical issues. When I mentioned to the check-in desk that we were going to miss our train in London, she just looked at me and offered up nothing.
Passengers who had connecting flights at Heathrow were being put on other airlines.
The longer I am home from our trip, the more disappointed I am. What should I have expected? Is a two hour delay even a big deal? Should BA have offered us SOMETHING for our trouble?
Because we did have difficulty due to the delay. We were arriving on a Sunday and relying on the Underground and Overground trains from Blackfriars to get to our rental unit. I wasn't even sure the Overground train would be running to our stop that late (fortunately it was). But shops were closed and we couldn't get adequate supplies for our flat. We had to take time from our touring schedule Monday to sort that out.
Too late for me? Expecting too much to begin with? I'd appreciate honest feedback. It will help me get over it - if that's the best medicine.
Thanks in advance.
