Never heard of that. Prices are surely based on individuals?

Sorry me again ;-) I was so intrigued that I went on to the Easyjet website! It looks like there is a £10 admin fee per booking included, which means that if you book for more than one person at a time, it would work out more cost effective. (£5 each if two of you etc)

There's a fee per booking - which is the same whether you book 1 ticket for 1 person or 10 tickets for 10 people.

It's just that they are taking the "admin fee" into account as said in post 3. So for example, if flights are £50 each, that's £110 including admin fee so in reality £55 each. Or one person books, its £60.or 4 people, it would be £52.50. Not worth worrying about and not at all similar to "single supplements" as charged by holiday companies. Annoying all the same, why even have one, just wrap it into the ticket price and be done with it.

This is something you could determine by just trying it yourself, start a booking and see how much it is just before you get to putting credit card details in.

Joe's answer is correct. The fact that the website implies that the fare is different for one person as opposed to two, is a result of the advertising laws in this country. If they are displaying a headline price, they have to state the terms that created the price.

I don't find it confusing, the opposite in fact!

I don't find it confusing. Joeintheuk explained it very well.
