My sister flew with them back in January to Mexico and had no problems.

They will get you there and back safely. They do not compromise on safety. You might be short-changed on the comforts of flying such a long way but the necessities will all be in place.Generally speaking economies are being made and cuts implemented across the whole of Thomas Cook plc as it is still in financial recovery mode under the new Chief Executive.

Thanks for the reassurance , am sure we will be safe. Have done long haul lots with Virgin , etihad, Thai airways so naively was expecting something similar. Not least the entertainment to be working ! Am told you pay for drinks on the flight too, we have got meals.

Sounds like a short haul flight but sat for longer with no pleasantries. :/

When I flew with them to Cuba they were ok. Not as good as Virgin but better than a usual short haul. We had to pay for alcoholic drinks but mixers and soft drinks were free. Not sure if this is still the case.

We flew with them in February to Goa and we are booked to fly with them again in February 2014 to Mexico. The flight was fine to India we booked exit row seats for a bit of extra comfort. The cabin crew were great really friendly and cheerful. We have booked exit row seats again for next year.

You'll get more seat pitch than on the full service carriers. Yes, you pay for all drinks, (except tea/coffee with meals) like with other charter airlines, but charters aren't a full service carrier, and the prices usually reflect this.
