Varying reports, none of which sound good. Witness reported tail breaking off as it landed and plane flipped over on its back. Fingers crossed for everyone on board.

Footage on Facebook and You Tube shows plane apparently in one piece, escape chutes down with people running away from plane, hopefully there is not loss of lives here..

Apparently the tail plane dropped off while it was touching down and it flipped over.

"According to Redwood City Fire Department, three alarms have been called and responding crews are reporting passengers in need of burn treatment."

I've seen the pictures and the plane definitely didn't flip over, not unless it righted itself afterwards!

It may have lost it's tail but emergency shutes were deployed so presume thankfully survivors....but lots of smoke so difficult to tell - i am sure we'll know more in time...

That's fantastic news that everyone off safely, i am sure that wouldn't have been the case had it crashed and flipped..... !!

I wonder if there was a fire on board initially leading to the landing....
