Canada Air

Word of caution for anyone flying Canada Air (we flew London Heathrow - Calgary and Vancouver - London Heathrow on return) Don't order the veggie meal option, the fruit salad was served up frozen solid on the outward flight with a tasteless pasta dish,on the return served up another frozen fruit salad with the meal then frozen fruit with a frozen bagel for breakfast,on asking politely if there any meal options we could have instead, treated as if we were a nuisance and causing trouble, explained that our meals had been frozen, answer was "nothing we can do about it,you ordered the option, maybe I can find you a yoghurt instead" wow thanks for nothing.I must admit it was only the lady who appeared in charge who had the attitude problem, the others were ok,Great customer service Canada Air

Now a post for every less-than-satisfactory meal on every airline? Not dangerous, just not good. And not good on this one occasion. So no one should order it? If OP was traveling with someone, perhaps they should say what was any better. There is (or at least used to be) a Web site devoted to airline meals, and photos thereof. As this deals with what meal to order on a particular airline, it might be a good idea to post it on the Air Canada section of Flyertalk.com. I didn't think of posting about the lousy omelets I've gotten on several airlines.

A fruit dish frozen solid isn't going to thaw in a few minutes is it? The main problem was the attitude of the stewardess

It's very likely that the fruit salad was offered to those eating a non-vegetarian meal as well.......were they all frozen? London - Calgary is a long flight, Vancouver - London even longer. If that's the only problem you encountered, then it's no big deal really.

------

Well yes it probably will. Certainly 15-20 mins.

The main problem was the attitude of the stewardess

----------

Did you expect her to rustle up another special meal literally from thin air? What should she have done to appease you bearing in mind they don't load spare special meals and since you ordered a special one you can't be given any of the ordinary ones as no doubt that would peeve you also, or perhaps kill you. She wasn't responsible for freezing it just to annoy you though that seems to be your attitude.

Compared to the majority of complaints here, yours is barely nudging trivial.
