top deck, more turbulance?

hi, daughter is halfway thru her flight to sydney, stopped at singapore and she said the turbulance was really bad and the flight attendant said it's always worse up stairs. has any one else found this to be the case? she booked top dec as thought it would be more peaceful, as it was she spent most of the time with her head in the sick bag, hope the next leg is better

Probably due to airline food on the lower deck.

that was very quick answers!! impressed yes it is the a380 so is the next leg and she has the same seats so hope it's better, she was sick alot coming back from hawaii so perhaps she's more prone to feeling ill , at least she has a year to get over it before she comes back

guess she might be down the back of the aircraft then in economy if upstairs.

there is apparently a little more 'flex' in that case. I have never noticed it.

if she was downstairs in the middle of economy ie. more to the centre of the plane she might not notice that as much.

never notice too much rough stuff once over the coast of aus. there can be a bit initially out of Singapore however.

It's highly unlikely it will be rougher upstairs than down. The only movement that would be exaggerated would be rolling, and that only very slightly.

Sitting near the rear would have more to do with it.

Wonder if she can get hold of some crystallised ginger to chew on her layover? Or sickness tablets? Or even those little bands that go round the wrist. Poor thing, it's dreadful being sick let alone on an aircraft.

We have been told a few times when turbulence has been bad that it is worse at the rear of the plane. Hopefully her next leg will be a lot smoother.

if her stop over is kl or sin - they sell crystallized ginger in the sweet shops there. works for me.
