Hand luggage must travel bottles have 100mls written on them

I will be flying with ryanair this weekend and to save paying for hold luggage we are just taking hand luggage. I understand that all fluids must be in containers of no more than 100mls and placed within a clear plastic resealable bag and that this can add up to 1000mls max within the bag. My question is, do the travel bottles I use have to have 100mls marked on them? I purchased and filled 100ml travel bottles. The packaging on the bottles stated that they could be used for hand luggage but I realised that the bottles themselves do not have 100mls written on them! Id struggle on holiday if they were taken away because due to allergies I have to be very carefull what sunscreen and other products I use!

No it doesn't have to be marked, just capable of holding no more than 100ml. It's common to see plain unmarked bottles.

I also use unmarked 100ml plastic bottles and have never had a problem.

The smallest mineral water bottle sold is 350ml...where do you find a 100ml bottle?

Don't use water bottles, use toiletries bottles. I use these:

Make sure the clear plastic zip lock bag holding them is no more than 20cm x 20cm. They got me for that recently even though it was only a fraction bigger!

Also make sure they are snap lock bags as was pulled because of different fastening. I now buy toiletries when I go through security as am fed up of all the faff so only things I can't buy in airport and must have go in the bottles.

And-this is not a Ryanair ruling (in case the antiFR party get going) but is laid down by UK/EU Government rules.

I have been using minatures of Gin/Vodka/Whisky for years-all 100ml (and mostly full of the original contents)

and do note that when you have passed security you can buy any size bottle of any liquid to carry on board in your hand luggage (weight and size of bag permitting)
