Welcome to TA. Just on a point of etiquette - we consider it 'nice' so use the words 'please' and 'thank you' here. It elicits far more helpful responses.

When you say 'send excess baggage' do you mean that you wish to send unaccompanied baggage that you can't carry with you?

Airlines wont accept unaccompanied baggage so you will have to send it with a carrier either as air freight of sea freight. Sea is cheaper but takes longer. Where in rural Australia? Is there a town nearby? I'd check with local carriers.

If you mean you want to take it with you as checked baggage and pay excess baggage fees, these are standard, set by the airlines and available on their websites. They are VERY expense.

You need to be far more specific about what it is you want to do.

The cheapest way of transporting something depends on multiple factors including how much it weighs, what it is, if you are flying (which I assume since its only excess if you have a baggage allowance, otherwise it's just postage, and so on. For example, from what you wrote, you may have 200kg to transport or 2kg, and what you are transporting may be cheaper to buy in UK instead of sending it.

So, specific details or its all speculation.
