VI P at Montego Bay

I have just noticed there is a company offering VIP treatment through Montego Bay airport,it consists of escorted by staff off plane through passport control, immigration and case retrieval.

And on. return executive lounge and same as above for £100 for two people, after last years waiting for 2 hours in the heat it sounds a good service, any comments please

What company - wouldn't have thought they would have access to airside unless they had some sort of contract with the airport/airline.

£100 seems a lot - is there a lounge with pay access available, does the escort through passport control etc get you any sort of priority or simply somebody to stand with you in the queue.

I thought Sangster International was air conditioned? It certainly was very cool when we were there.

Is this what you're referring to?

I had another thought, check how many planes are arriving around yours, if you arrive during a slow time I would not pay for it. http://www.mbjairport.com/arrivals.

We travel to MBJ 3,4 times a year from ATL and have always gone thru customs quickly, several times we were the first couple in line, yes it depends on how many flights come in when you are arriving but they have made many improvements to the airport and we are thru customs, grab our bags and are waiting for our transfer in about 20 min total. If you have the extra money and feel a need to spend it, go ahead, I will say if you are arriving on a holiday weekend or on a Friday or Saturday then there will be more crowds but we arrive and depart midweek and always go thru without any delays. Its a crap shoot, you may arrive and no lines or you may have to wait 10 or 15 minutes to go thru customs.

It will be busy then, not sure how many will be on your plane and where you will be sitting and how many other flights will be arriving, you may want to try the VIP service but you will still have to wait on your bags and then your transfer, the line may move fast or it may be packed with arriivals, all I can suggest is try it then you will know if you decide to return to MBJ again.
