Maybe contacting Thomas Cook should be your first point of call.

Why cant you change it? You have a month to sort it.

The foreign office website states you should have 6 months validity on your passport.

If they pick up on this at the airport there is a good chance you won't be allowed to fly.

It s a risk I wouldn't want to take.

Thomas Cook follow the FCO advice. As they say 6 months, you will need 6 months, or risk being denied boarding. You'd be better asking Thomas Cook for definate information.

I see you have already asked this elsewhere nearly a week ago, and been advised by several people that you need 6 months.

Maybe the OP is wanting someone to say it's ok to travel as is?

Personally, I'd change my passport - still enough time to do it,

Attempting to fly with less time on your passport than legally requires means you are going to be relying on the good natured of a number of people. Even if you are allowed to board the plane ( highly unlikely) there is no guarantee that Tunisia immigration will allow you to enter. Return flights are meaningless. They can be ignored and/ or changed. If I were you I would not be wasting time on Trip Advisor. I would be seeing what I can do to get a new passport. ( and if you posted the question a week ago--you are playing around and begging for trouble)

I wouldn't risk it either, get to the passport office as soon as possible.

Renewed a passport last month and used the Post Office service, New Passport received in less that a week!

Utterly insane if you attempt to travel like that.

You can get a passport in one day if you pay extra.

<< my friends tell me it will be fine >>

What your 'friends' say or tell you is totally irrelevant. Why risk it given the information above re The FCO and Thomas Cooks adherence to their advice ?
