They allocate seats at check in, or you can pay and choose your own.

It used to be a free for all, but last spring Easyjet trialled allocated seating on selected routes and then rolled it out on all routes towards the back end of the year.

Seats cost £3, £8 or £12 if you choose one either when booking or at any time prior to checking in (online or at the airport). If not then, as stated above, you will be automatically allocated a seat at no cost at the airport check-in.

we fly in may and paid £12 for speedy boarding and extra leg room seats, a bargain compared to other airlines, if you do leave it til check in there's prob a good chance of being seperated, i would think

I haven't used Easyjet for a while so may have missed something here. Do you have to pay for speedy boarding and then for extra leg room seats? It would seem a waste to pay for speedy boarding if you have reserved seats.

You can't buy speedy boarding separately any more.

From their website - quote

"You can no longer purchase Speedy Borading separately However, passengers who:

have a Flexi ticket

are an easyJet Plus! cardholder, or

have paid to select either an Up Front or Extra Legroom seat

will still benefit from dedicated check-in and will be able to use Speedy Boarding to be among the first to board the aircraft. ."

We've just come back from Paphos flying with EasyJet. We had booked March 2012 and also paid for speedy boarding because we had our 8 yr old grandson with us...so when they introduced seat allocation in November we were informed that we could pick our seats at no extra charge. Now if you pay £12 for row 1 and £8 for rows 2 to 8 and I think the middle exit row, then this is classed as speedy boarding.

Speedy boarding is included in the £12 extra legroom and £8 up front allocated seating and, as has been stated above, is no longer available to book in isolation.

It comes with the same benefits as with the pre allocated seat era - dedicated check-in desk at most airports and queue up on the left and first group through at the boarding gate.

It is possible to check in 30 days before. The checking in process was extremely easy and the boarding passes printed out with no problems. The boarding passes had seat numbers, everyone sitting together. Extremely easy process & much faster than other airlines such as BA. Well done Easyjet, very impressed.
