requesting emergency exit seating (Emirates)

We will shortly be flying with emirates from Manchester to Christchurch and have booked our seats online, if we check in online does anyone know if we can still try and request emergency exit seating at the airport .

You can still ask for an exit row seat at baggage drop.

Up until 6 weeks, you never had to pay for the bulkhead/exit seats on Emirates flights I've used. Can't book them online, but can ask for at checkin itself, on a 1st come/1st served basis.

Where has this information you've got, come from Lorabell ?, saying there is now a charge ?.
