My wife and I are planning a travel through northern Latin American countries. We are from England, and hope to arrive in Brazil. Then travel to Paraguay, Bolivia and Peru. We hope to return to England from Lima. Duration: 30 days
We are mature, 60+ well tarvelled couple. While we do not mind shorter (under 6 hour) bus journeys, we hope to use regionsl flights to get from one country to another. Air passes have been mentioned. One air pass is calculated on 'segments', and another air pass talks about distances covered. It is not easy to understand. Please help.
My question is: is an air pass for (1) Rio to Foz do Iguazu, (2) from Foz do Iguazu to Asuncion, (3) from Asuncion to La Paz, and (4) from Cusco to Lima cheaper than four separate air tickets bought locally in South America?
