united economy plus

I hope I'm not duplicating this, I was typing along and then everything just disappeared. We are planning on flying from Chicago to Honolulu on May6th and when I went to book, the exit seat in Economy Plus was taken. My husband is 6'2" and even with an

aisle seat, he needs leg room. I'm only 5'5" and even I want more

log room. My question is, how does Economy Plus compare with

regular economy? Even without getting the exit row, do you guys

think Economy Plus would be comfortable enough for him? It's a

long flight. We could more the day to the 7th but then we have to

add 2 days at the end and it kind of messes up other plans. What

do you think of Economy Plus? I want to fly United because I have a Millage Plus with them.

There's more than one seat in the exit row. Are you saying they are all filled? Yes, I think E+ is well worth it. Look up your plane on seatguru.com and you will find the measurements of the seats you are interested in.

E+ gives u 5" extra seat pitch...which is better than nothing.

i am about the same height as your husband and find E+ fine.

then again normal economy is for me not that uncomfortable.

and really ord to hnl isn't that long.

Yes, all the seats except one middle were filled, I was surprised. It's n 8 hour flight there and 9 hour one overnight home so we want to be able to sleep. I would just as soon take the later flight, I'll have to talk to him when he gets home, it just kind of messes other things up.

I am 1.95m ((6' 5") and E+ is very comfy for me. Can stretch legs straight out even with seat in front fully reclined.

Worth the extra.

A middle exit row seat is worse than an aisle E+ seat any day of the week.

I talked to DH and he said he thought that the United Economy Plus would

be fine, 6 inches will help and we wouldn't be right next to the bathrooms.

I'm just glad we have only 2 seats in the row, he can have the aisle and I'll

have the window, which is what I like. I can lean against the window when

I snooze. We really didn't want to change our dates. Then I can get started

on a condo. If we can find a condo with free parking, or at least cheap

parking, I think we'll get the car at the airport and just keep it the whole time

rather than just a few days in the middle. If we are just going to do Oahu, I

want to be able to get out and explore and I don't want to be dependent on

buses.

We r getting ready to book our flight, we r using united millage plus for a little extra legroom. We can't get the exit aisle going over, but coming back we could but it would be in aisle 39 of a 53 aisle wide body and its right next to the bathrooms.its an overnight so it sold give us more legroom, but I'm not crazy

About bing so far back and right next to the bathrooms. Anyone remember the

Tallies from Lost?

My husband is 6'2" and has left it up to me. Ha!

I would never choose the seats next to the bathrooms. You have constant traffic, noise, people gathering around your seats, lights, etc. I did it once on an 11 hour flight and vowed never again.

I know, I just kind of thought it's an overnight flight, people would be sleeping. My husband mentioned the smell....nothing worse than an

airplane bathroom after 6 or 7 hours of flying time.

I'm hearing that the right side of the plane is best for views of oahu coming in for the landing?

As far as choice of seats in united Plus, I guess we will choose a couple of rows away from the bathroom.
