Hello Trip Advisor travelers!
I beseech the advice of frequent and veteran travelers alike. I’m planning on traveling to London and Paris this year for Christmas and New Year’s. The plan is to fly out December 15/16th, spend about 4-5 days in London, then catch a Eurostar train from London to Paris, then spend two weeks in Paris, and fly out on Jan 4th/5th.
So, my question is when should I book for the best rates? Are there any real “deals” to be had around that busy travel season? And what airlines are the best to fly on (I’m in Sacramento, but could fly to LAX or SFO if the savings on airfare compensated for the pain in the rear it would involve booking additional flights/transport)?
I realize this is very early to be planning this, as most of the airlines have only released flights for the first part of my trip (mid-December). I just thought I’d take a look at them now, see what the average fares are and ask about “sale” times, if there are any discounts to be had.
Thanks so much for your input and time!
