American's 737-800 coach seating

AA website touts a coach seat that reclines but doesn't take leg room from the row behind. Their explanation is that your seat slides forward.

Anybody care to report on how comfortable there are.

The seats are fine IMHO. I've used them several times in the last year. They do indeed slide forward. However, for taller persons they might find this a bit uncomfortable.

Thanks. I am a tall guy, but I never recline. I'm more excited about the seat in front of me not reclining into my lap.

Agreed. Same here. I'm a tall guy as well and rarely recline my seat.
