I know most think we as agents should know all about this, even though we were in Canada, but I asked all the agents at a travel agent meeting this weekend and not one had heard about it.
On the Sunday, we had a tradeshow and Transat Airlines, Sunwing Air and Westjet (even though I know WJ does not fly out of or into Europe) and none of these sales agents knew about it. The Sunwing rep looked it up and just said it doesn't apply to us because we are a charter and are not part of the EU (even though she had just heard about it and only looked it up online right there).
My point is, everyone here is so quick to jump when people don't understand it, but I'm talking about a tradeshow with hundreds of people and sales reps and not one person (including the ticketing agent that was there).
I just wonder why this is and why Canadian airlines aren't aware and if there is an exclusion to charters because they certainly did not know or had not even heard of it???
