www.lowbusinessfares.com

I want to book a business class ticket from Adelaide (Australia) to Paris for early May and have received a very good quote from lowbusinessfares.com.

Does anybody have experience with this company? Are they a bona fide reputable company?

Well their New Jersey "office" is a private home, their Michigan "office" is an insurance broker's address and their India address is listed as Isha Travels. Enough to make me think twice and investigate a bit more before buying.

Peter, since you've received a quote from LBF why not call the airline(s) to enquire or check on line to see if the fare is actually bookable for your travel dates.

If the quote you've been given is considerably cheaper than the airline's fares and / or the airlines indicate it's not a valid fare then think twice before giving LBF any money or personal details.

Thank you.

You have obviously done some rapid detective work on their business structure.

I will certainly not rush into anything without doing further investigation.

Why would the airline know anything about them?

Many of these "companies" purchase FF miles from people and then use them to book your tickets. This is against the rules of every FF program I kow anything about, and it guarantees your ticket will be cancelled if this is discovered. Just not worth the risk.

I also did a search on this company and I wouldn't go near them.

Here's a picture of their NJ location:

Their MI location:

I will give them credit for being honest, I tried a fare request, got a good one, then asked them about FF and they were right up front. It is a frequent flyer exchange ticket.

Thank you for the infomation. That seems to be how most of these companies work; that's why they are a bad idea unless you like to gamble with your flights. I'd prefer not to arrive at the airport and find my reservation had been cancelled.

Thank you all for your helpful responses.

I will definitely not be booking with LBF.

A colleague has recommended a travel agency based in Sydney which specializes in Business & First class bookings. He has had good service from them. The company is called Firstclass.com.au. (www.firstclass.com.au). It sounds like they are just an online agency but they have two "bricks& mortar" offices in Sydney.
