BA food

We recently travelled from Sydney to Bangkok then Singapore to Sydney on BA.Last year we travelled with the same airline to Europe via the same cities. This year the food was virtually unedible. My husband was sick for a week on our return home, The dish was Oriental beef. It should have stayed in the orient!it caused his sickness.Last year although it was typical airline food it was quite good.I have tried to send an email to BA but there is no email number for suggestions/complaints.

On which sector of the journey was the food 'virtually unedible'? Your concerns may be better addressed to the ground catering company rather than to the airline itself, depending on the flight sector and at what city the meals were loaded.

Have you ascertained if others on any of the fights you took were 'sick for a week'? If your husband was the only person who was unwell, then it may very well not have been the food which made him unwell, unless he was very unlucky. Gastric complaints secondary to poor hygiene usually strike a number of people, especially those in a distinct sample, such as airline pax on a certain flight.

Should you wish to contact BA by email, see the link below - the email link is to the right of the tab labelled Your questions. However, you may receive a cut and paste reply, which may not be satisfactory. You might get a more attentive response if you send a letter by post, giving the dates and flights (flight numbers and destinations) on which you travelled, as well as the cabin and class of service in which you travelled.

I absolutely agree with the post-once, on the flight back from LHR to Chicago-we got tomato sandwich for breakfast-imagine, frozen tomato microwaved, with a slice of cucumber-if that is not gross,Idon't know what is!

Heard Willie Walsh (BA chief executive) being interviewed just before the T5 debacle exploded. A lighthearted question was put to him about the terrible sandwiches served on the short haul routes. Part of his reply was 'I dont think many people travel on B.A. for the food' That probably sums up B.A's attitude to food, in economy anyway.

that answer of Billies is far too relaxed in this fierce community of competition, it should be paramount along with all other aspects of the airline.(unless he doesnt notice the food onboard as he is too full up from other sources)
