  "This is a great pub for eating in. Lovely outside space, we sat out the front, read the sunday papers, had mini fish pie to start which was good but the Roast that followed was exceptional. Will be going back. Great coffee and service too!"

  "We went to the Gatsby as a party of 6. The table was booked a while ago but we were called days before to say there would only be a set menu as it was Father's Day. After discussions and phone calls this was resolved to allow us to go ala carte. The food was good, not brilliant or outstanding but co..."mpetent. Service was haphazard, our order was taken down incorrectly for 2 of our party and the waiter chose to argue this. Eventually this was resolved but it meant we didn't eat our main courses together. Once served the waiting staff disappeared and it took 10 mins to get ten back for condiments to go with our roast beef. This couldn't be excused by the restaurant being busy as it was only half full. So food good, waiting could do better, it isn't cheap so you would expect better service. " More >

The dining room which is in the converted foyer of an Art Deco cinema is full of atmosphere aided by the old movie prints on the wall. The food was lovely and the service was attentive a..."nd friendly whilst not being intrusive. The background music was at just the right level. Parking close by isn't too easy; it's a good ten minute walk to the closest large car park but if you are lucky there is street parking round the corner but it gets used up quickly. " More >
