I'm not a burger gal. Yet I look forward to Duffy's every visit -- the jalapeno and havarti. Why are they so good? If I knew, I'd open my own Duffy's in my hometown. But it's so good that Eat Here, a more recent arrival and more upscale, didn't even try to compete. Eat Here put this on its own menu under burgers: Turn right out of the parking lot and go to Duffy's. Duffy's is in an old gas station. License plates cover the walls. Simple bar and tables and chairs. This is a great place for families or couples. And I think they serve the coldest beer on the island (and I'm proud to say we've tried beer all over the island).
