The menu..." isn't extensive but it was honest. I had the bacon & brie ciabatta my wife crab on homemade soda bread (which my wife bought a loaf of after), followed by a slice of homemade toffee n apple cake with loads of cream!
This place is definitely worth a look and I can't understand why it had received bad reviews, as while there the owner Eileen even came out talking to us and asking was everything OK
If your looking for a quiet bolt hole to read the paper and sip a cuppa n have a quick bite late in the afternoon give this place a look.

"Dinner at the restaurant was less than what I had anticipated recently. First, the restaurant charges city prices for what is a tiny village with fish being landed less than 100metres away. Second the quality is good, but not as great as you would expect from fish being landed as described above...".
The restaurant wins on location overlooking the gorgeous Portmagee harbour, and if you are lucky enough to get a window table of which there are only 3 or 4, then you will be made. We got a window table, but that was sheer luck as the restaurant was not busy on our night of dining.
Service could not be faulted, friendly and efficient. Presentation of the food was average. My Brie starter looked like it was out of a packet, apologies to the chef if it wasn't but it seriously looked as if it might have been (see my pic of it and judge for yourself)
The fish in my main of Monkfish and prawn mornay had a rubbery consistency and the sauce was 'watery', not creamy as I had hoped. Pi...
