"We were walking past and stopped as the decor looked inviting. No-one hounded us (or dragged us by the arm as with other places!). We decided to go back that evening. We were greeted by very friendly staff who asked that we wait a moment for a table to be located. We had time to order a cocktail, th..."en were shown to our table. The seating was very comfortable and the table was spacious. The waiter brought warn rolls and garlic mayo dip and allowed us to peruse the menu in peace. The orders were taken, more rolls and dip were supplied and again the waiter withdrew. This was clearly not a burger joint, nor were we expected to eat up so that they could reuse the table. "I must say that the service from Liam and his staff at the Empire was A1. Very prompt, efficient and professional. Food was excellently presented and tasted wonderful.
If its the only restaurant you eat at only your stay at Americas, eat it at Empire!!"
"Visited the Cozy Cafe in Las Americas several times over the 2 weeks we were on the island (30th April - 13 May 2013) following a recomendation. We had been told that the food was good but this didn't do the place justice. The food was great, portions given better than anywhere else we went, staff v..."ery friendly and the service excellent. The cakes, they were to die for and huge!! Food, including cakes are homemade daily. They do a great Sunday dinner with all fresh trimmings, proper roasties, mash and yorkshire puds.
I don't think that there is a bad thing to say about this great little cafe. To find, as it is off the main front, head for the H10 and Casino and it is up the side street off the front. Once found, you will go back and back. Oh, forgot to mention, Tea in china cups and proper Tea Pots!
There are other restaurants trying to mimic this place, but they do not compete. If you go, and you wont be disappointed, please tell your friends. If you go and for any reason are not 1...
