"Stopped by here on the Friday during SAVOR beer week. The selection of beers was incredible. The theme was Beers Gone Wild XXX - Young and Old Lambics. I consider myself somewhat knowledgable of beer but the beers they had on draft were one's I had never heard of. From all over Europe and the US...", not just Belgium. I can see how this place got the top craft beer bar in NY rating. It's only one stop from Grand Central on the 7 train, and a block and a half walk. Well worth the trip. As far as food, we only sampled the oysters, which were fresh and briny.

"The LaGuli Bakery is a great little shop located a short block from the last stop on the N train in Astoria, Queens. An old Italian family-owned business, it has a wide variety of homemade pastries, cookies, cakes and gelato. We ducked in during rainstorm and were delighted to be treated like fami..."ly. Try the mini chocolate cannoli, macaroons and the chocolate cigar pastries – delizioso!

"The Riverview Restaurant sits along the East River in Queens and has a stunning view of Manhattan. It is a quick ride on the 7 train from the city (it's the first stop in Queens, Vernon-Jackson Avenue) and then about a 5 minute walk from the subway. Long Island City has become a very cool place to..." wander around, so it's worth making a trip out for people who are staying in Manhattan and want to see some of the outer boroughs. There is a bar area, a restaurant, and outdoor seating. The food is delicious, with both upscale items and a great burger for the less adventurous eaters. The staff are wonderful, and there's a nice local feel to the place, but it's large enough - and the decor is fancy enough - that if you want a fancy night out you can feel like you're having it here as well. Highly recommended!!!
