The negative reviews and comments in my opinion are fairly accurate in a literal sense, but fail to recognize that what these posters see as negatives are also what others might see as charm (not counting greasy veges ..."of course). Spolini’s is staffed with knockaround guys who have been in the neighborhood or restaurant for 15-20 years. They know the menu, community and what’s good for you, better than you do yourself. They food is ample, but also very good. Hipsters and UES types might not enjoy this place, but suffice it to say I loved it. It’s sort of like FUBU, its For Queens By Queens.
