"I had forgotten how inexpensive Rolando's is, and what good home-style food they have. You can get breakfast anytime they're open, and it's tasty AND a great deal. We were asking the waitress if it was still owned by the same family as it was in the 1980's. She said it's still the exact same owner! ..."Two of us ate breakfast here for only $12 total. Waitress was very friendly and kept checking to make sure we didn't need anything. This is one of the diners where the local police officers eat, so you know it's good.

"Hi all! Happy to report that all remains good at Yanni's. Dropped in after visiting friends on a Thursday night and ordered the Thursday Night Special which is spaghetti and meatballs and sauce and salad and rolls and butter for about $9.00. Still a great value. The Yanni Burger is still the best de..."al at $5.50. They serve it with that Greek cucumber sauce. Sweet potato fries are a tasty side. Crystal was doing the tables and her hubby was in the kitchen. That is always a great combination. Assures that service will be prompt and cheerful and food portions will be man sized. You can get it to go.
There is no view and no glamour. Just good neighborhood eats and a lively neighborhood bar. Stop by and say hello. Ask Crystal for a glass of Chianti to go with your spaghetti.

I was expecting a doughnut shop, but Manni's is als..."o a local diner, so I had breakfast there, too.
A wrong turn on my way there told me that this is a working class neighborhood enduring tough times. The owner, Manni, had a cheerful greeting for everyone that came in, calling most folks by name. When I expressed interest in breakfast to brace myself for the final third of my trip, he brought me coffee, the morning paper, and a great breakfast of eggs, sausage & home fries in short order. The place isn't much on ambience, but you can't beat it for its friendly & comforting atmosphere.
Oh, and the box of Manni's Donuts that went up the road with me? My vacation hosts & I were very pleased with them, indeed. I found this little place thanks t...
