A delightful couple came from VT to spend their honeymoon at my Bed and Breakfast. They asked me to find a dog-friendly restaurant as they wanted to dine..." with someone who would be traveling with their dog. AH! I made some calls, picked some brains, and was told Labrador Lounge was the place to be. So I sent the couple over. Not only did they love the food, the atmosphere and everything else there, they bought the T-Shirt! I cracked up at breakfast when the new groom proudly showed his souvenier.   "I was pleasantly suprised by the great little crab shack that opened in May of last summer. It is a welcome addition to the Jersey Shore especially in the Lavallette area. Conveniently located a block from the ocean and right on route 35. The chillded shrimp are delicious, plump and cooked to per..."fection and the crab balls have a crispy panko coating and moist fresh crab inside. The curry mayo is a welcome addition. NO skimping on the quality here. The staff is warm and congenial and eager to please. If you are lucky the owner's adorable son will serve you your food. I can't wait for next summer to enjoy the shore and hopefully watch this beautiful part of the Northeast rebuild. " More >

  "After driving past this restaurant for many years, we finally had a chance to eat dinner there last summer on a busy evening. They squeezed us in without a reservation, when our other dinner plans fell through. We found out too late it was BYOB. It seems everyone else knew that, and all were enjoyin..."g their wine or beer. Even so, we had a lovely dinner. We ate out in the patio area, which was pleasant. The food and service were both excellent, delicious pasta and seafood. I would call the pace "relaxed". I was looking forward to trying this again next summer. Normandy was so devastated by Hurricane Sandy. I'm hoping this restaurant will be back in business for next summer. " More >
