"Went to Staceys the last day of skiing at Big Sky for the year it was a Sunday afternoon and we got there a bit early after having to slow down for a heard of bighorn sheep in the canyon. We were feeling a bit down since the ski season was officially over but that was soon to change.
We were greet..."ed by a friendly waitress who told us to sit anywhere we like. Drinks and onion rings came quickly and were cooked to perfection. I ordered the steak and my son ordered the roast beef sandwhich. I got salad he saved room for desert. The food was amazing the steak cooked spot on perfect and was nice and tender. Contrary to what some people think you can get bad steak in montana. This was good meat cooked perfect. "from the roadside, the place looks a bit like a honkey tonk and maybe that makes you a bit nervous, but DON'T MISS THE CORRAL! What a great, friendly bunch of people. Melissa was our waitress and she was great, had a great sense of humor. John Palmer seems to be the mayor at the establishment and..." has lots of stories.
The wine list (yes I said wine list) is small but excellent and reasonably priced. Great stemwear too! The food was wonderful, and plenty of it. Get yourself a Moscow Mule, you won't regret it!

"My wife and I returned from Yellowstone yesterday with plans to eat at Cinnamon Lodge because we were told they were going to add tamales to the menu this summer. The new fire roasted salsa is pretty good also.
What a treat. I had the beef tamales along with an order of chile rellenos. They al..."so make chicken tamales.
If you are really hungry, I recommend a small steak and rellenos. It is hard to beat. And if you have room for dessert, I would suggest the sopaipilla cheesecake. I've never seen this dessert anywhere else. It is served warm with ice cream.
Cinnamon Lodge is located 10.8 miles south of Big Sky on US 191. It is absolutely worth the drive. If you visit in the winter, you will probably see elk along the river in the canyon.
