"Good food- chowder was good, bacon wrapped scallops were okay, fish and chips- huge portion, good. We sat upstairs and our server/ bartender was friendly even though he was very busy- he did a good job. Afterward took a walk on the beach across the street. "
"You know you are in a hot spot when the locals are regulars, and that is what it was like when we went for an early dinner and saw the regulars pouring in. I've eaten here before and always want to come back when I'm on the Cape. The owner is a South Vietnamese Regular Army veteran who escaped to ..."the US (eventually) after a harrowing 15 days adrift at sea on a boat without power, where many died. The restaurant boasts Vietnamese and Chinese, and the proprietor is 1/2 Chinese and 1/2 Vietnamese, so he comes by both cuisines honestly. It is an entirely family-run enterprise with the sons and the wife in the back cooking, waiting tables, etc.
This restaurant serves classic Vietnamese food, from the Hanoi Beef Soup (Pho Bo) to fresh, rice paper wrapper, spring rolls to shrimp and rice noodle dishes, all with savory nước chấm sauces. I cook Vietnamese style food, and this authentic restaurant is just what the doctor ordered for that South East Asian food fix.

Our party of six requested to be seated downstairs as we were dining on a cool and windy evening. There is a large menu ..."as well as evening specials. I ordered the cioppino which was delicious...not too spicy and FULL of seafood: easily 8-10 mussels, 1/2 a small lobster, 4 large shrimp, 5-6 clams, a large piece of fish and 4-5 large scallops, all over a bed of pasta. I was in heaven. My husband ordered the captain's platter of fried seafood. It was a large portion and he was impressed with the quality. Other members of our party ordered the stuffed sole, clam strips and Hurricane Bob's scallops. There was not a complaint and all plates were cleaned. If I had any complaint, it would be that salads don't come with the meals. The portions are large enough, however, that you don't really miss them. Definitely a go...
