"We recently flew into BWI around rush-hour (on a Tuesday). Naturally, we thought of G & M and their fantastic crab cakes. We got to the restaurant on uncrowded roads (arrived at BWI at 5:00PM, seated in the restaurant at 5:30!). We were seated immediately. Our usual is a glass of Riesling and the 2 ..."crab cake meal. We watched the restaurant fill with diners and by 7:00 PM a long line had formed. Our waitress informed us that 7 to 9 PM is always crowded (so try to get there early). The crowds can't be wrong. G&M is a treat for crab cakes! The sides were good, but not exceptional. We haven't had dessert there for awhile, but they always look delicious. We prefer to get our extra calories with a glass of wine ;)
Enjoy your visit!

"Large menu offering sandwiches, salads and their famous crab cakes. Jumbo lump softball size crab cakes that are mostly all crab without much filler. A place to try and compare your favorite Maryland crab cake restaurant. Parking can be an issue because the place is always busy. "
"When you finally make it through the waiting crowds to get in, and you see 80% of the diners ordering the crabcakes, you have to be almost crazy not to try them. They don't disappoint, they have to be close to the best I've had in the past 40 years. The restaurant is in a non-descript strip mall. ..." The parking lot is packed. The carryout (with the same great food) is torridly busy. There are lines, and getting reservations means you need to adjust or plan wisely. But it is all good, because it means people seek out this place. Desserts are pretty good here too. The hustling wait staff is saucy MD at its best. The decor is dated, there are large tables to accommodate family groups scattered around, but for such a busy place, there noise level is pretty reasonable. I'll echo another reviewer that the vegetables are done unusually well for a production shop. The wine list is actually pretty decent too, with selections that complement their seafood entrees.
