"My wife and visited Geralds Pig & Shrimp this weekend on our way to Tybee beach FROM Savannah. I wanted to stop and try their shrimp based on the great reviews I had read on TA. MAN...the reviews were SPOT ON ! This is absolutely the best fried shrimp I have ever tasted anywhere !!! I could eat ..."here every day. It was SO FRESH and had just a light bread coating which didn't over power the sweet taste of the shrimp. Even my wife (who isn't a big shrimp fan) could not get over how great they tasted. Service was great and all of the employees were very nice and friendly. Even chatted with Gerald as he made his rounds talking to all of his customers. We had the shrimp & pulled pork BBQ. The BBQ was also very good. We didn't care to much for the slaw, but with the shrimp...it didn't even matter. If you are in Tybee Island, don't leave before stopping to try out the shrimp. We can't wait to visit again! THANKS GERALD !

"We ate here after the Beach Bum parade. The atmosphere is really nice, low lighting by the beach, shack like restaurant. They also had live music on Friday night. The staff was super friendly. Taught us how to peel shrimp, check on us several times, brought refills super fast. The food was all fresh..." and delicious. The fries are totally worth it. The chocolate cake was rich and gooey :). It was a really great meal. It was family friendly. The only thing that could be improved is the bathroom. It was super small and only one and there was always a line.

"This is the 2nd time I've been here, several years apart. The food is good, always fresh and service has always been good too. It does seem a little pricey and they charged us $3 extra to share a $25 seafood platter with no extra sides or anything. My 8 year old had the steak sandwhich and he loved ..."it, the piece of steak I tasted was tender and flavorful.
