Blairsville is my home, so at first I was a little embarrassed that our number one ranked restaurant is a small barbeque joint that is open only 3 days a week. Then I remembered that, afterall, I live in the South where..." barbeque is the King! I have eaten their ribs which are A+ tender, fall of the bone, smoky ribs. Their pulled pork sandwiches are huge, juicy and served on a special roll that is delicious. I am not a big fan of barbeque sauce, but I liked their sauce so much that I purchased a bottle to take home. Their sides include sweet potatoe fries (never tried them), really good baked beans, french fries (just okay), macaroni salad (really good), potato salad (above average for a restaurant), and a banana pudding (never tried it).   "We were in Blairsville, Ga this last weekend and I asked my wife where she wanted to stop. She say the parking lot at FATZ and said "any place that full at 1:30 on a beautiful Saturday has to be good". We went in and from the moment they opened the door for us, to seating to service to food it was a..." wonderful experience. We had the chicken grilled with watermelon ( at our waitress' recommendation) and ice tea. Shannon, our waitress, was extremely attentive, friendly, and the kind of person you want to have in every restaurant you walk in to. We plan on stopping there next trip through town. " More >
