"Met some girlfriends for an early lunch and while we waited in the bar and got a drink the bartender was so friend and most appreciate of his tip. He was enjoyable and pleasant and knew what he had on hand. And the food was better than I expected, the prime rib was so delivious I could only have a c..."orner because it was so juicy and big, and the bread was freshly made and hot. They do know how to serve you here, even down to the water person, and when we left the restaaurant even the other patrons asked if we enjoyed out meal, it was just som wonderful. I look forward to going again, and the proce is worth every dollar $$$ also the view is beautiful as well, you can see people kayaking and canoeing. 8)-

"My aunt raved about Captain Jacks, so a few days after my uncle died, we went here to get her out of the house and to have a nice meal.
Our group (my aunt, my boyfriend, a family friend, me) arrived super early to beat the rush and ended up having to wait an hour in the bar before the dining room..." opened. The bar has strong classic drinks and the seating area is dark, surrounded by aquariums. The bar has a feel like it had it's hey-day sometime in the 70's! Along with our drinks, we shared the delicious crab stuffed mushrooms appetizer.
The dining room is a lot less dark than the bar. We were seated by the window that overlooked a water way and it was a nice view.
The ambiance is so-so at Captain Jacks, but it is more than made up for by the fabulous food. Our server was super nice and even suggested sharing since the portions are so huge. We appreciated his honesty and sincerity. We shared two crab leg meals between the four of us and it was more than we could eat.
