  "We were waiting for our train and found this little French cafe for a quick casual lunch. The two best things were the vegetable quiche and the chocolate cream pastry. We also enjoyed a chicken sandwich, peach flan, and croissant which were all pretty good. Overall good food, service, and value."

The food is very good (short lunch menu - 45 soles, well prepared and presented). Unfortunately for us, the interior was fully booked so we had to sit outside, which between the noise and smells of idling Peru Rail trains and the 6 "French" women at the next table with their smelly cigarettes, was not too pleasant.   "The restaurant was part of our tour so we didn't know what to expect. We chose our meal from the fixed price menu. We started with salad which was a mix of fresh fruit, salad items and vegetables and was a generous portion and very tasty. The trout with spicy sauce was delicious and well cooked and ..."the pepper chicken was a bit bland but that could be because we enjoy our food hot and spicy! The apple pie is more of a tart and really doesn't need to be served with both custard and ice cream. The service was slow even though the restaurant was empty! Downstairs is dark and stifling so get a seat upstairs if you can. " More >
