  "I been there couple of times with my Chinese, Russian and other Asian friends and it seems every1 like the food . Overall it was good though the taste was not as same as we used to find here in our country side."

  "I went there because it has a pool table although people play there still use two-shot rule. However, I was surprised by their wide selection of beers. The price is okay and I think is reasonable. Hopefully, I can have a dinner there to see how well their food are when I am in Guangzhou."

  "I went to the Canton Place location, where the ambiance is not as eclectic as the old building by Haizhu Square and the clientele more stuffy. The new location has a open design kitchen so I got to see who prepared my food. Food is still good, though I felt the presentation more polished than ..."it used to be (maybe to match the new location?) As usual the wine took a long time to come because the bartender had to climb up to the attic to get the wine (strange layout?) I had the calamari spring roll - it came without any dipping sauce. I asked the server for sauce and the kitchen whipped up some fresh tartare sauce (nice!) My entrée was black pepper tenderloin, nice & juicy. I asked the server if the entrée came with any vegetable (it was not mentioned on the menu), the server said no. So I ordered a side salad. Of course then the entrée came with roast vegetable so I ordered too much food. Even though 1920 is a great restaurant, the service is still not quite the 5 stars ... " More >
