"I've lived in South Korea for nine months now and Ops is by far the best bakery/dessert I've come across in this country. A friend and I shared two desserts from the case where you have to order (pricier items) that I would rank among the best desserts I've ever had (though I may just be suffering w..."ithdrawal from Western eateries after being in Korea for so long). I would highly recommend splurging on one of the more expensive cakes or individual desserts from the case.
I also bought some bread to bring home, and have to agree with others that though it's good for Korea it's not amazing. I had higher expectations for the bread after tasting the desserts.
(For anyone wondering we had the blueberry cheese pie - a lighter version of a cheesecake with a light pastry crust topped with lots of fresh blueberries - and the Da Vinci - a chocolate hazelnut mousse/ganache cake. Both were awesome!)

"Paris Baguette is a lifesaver! In South Korea, there seems to be one at every street corner, like Tim Hortons in Canada. We were able to buy sandwiches, croissants and pastries for long bus trips, or lunches while backpacking. There is a great variety of pastries and breads, and everything is del..."icious and made with quality ingredients. I thought this was a French company, but it is South Korean! Hoping and wishing for franchises in Canada one day.

They had some private rooms and the buffet wa..."s set up on both sides of the long restaurant. This restaurant also accepts credit cards including AMEX. I had read about this restaurant, so I decided to try it while I was in the fish market. I did not make any reservations but was seated right away. Though it is a buffet, the food is good and fresh and some drinks are included in the price for about $35 USD. There is a variety of seafood, sushi, sashimi, Korean BBQ, fruits, dim sun etc. I enjoyed the abalone porridge, mussels, fish eggs, rice wine, lychee, and the snow crabs most. The juices from the fountain are good and not watered down. There is also a variety of desserts though I was too stuffed to try many of them. All in all, I had...
