  "Our guide book recommended Dadong and we were in the area and went. We had to wait for a table, but were given a free drink to help us be patient. The restaurant is beautifully appointed inside, the only thing that jarred was the video showing an advert for themselves (inc. a woman eating a sea-slug..."). The staff were extremely helpful - an english speaker was found for us who explained everything. We ordered avocado and smoked salmon, and seafood with mango. The avocado came under a small glass filled with smoke! It tasted superb. The duck arrived and then was taken away and carved by a chef and then returned with all the sides. Helpfully a young waitress demonstrated making the little rolls with chopsticks! The taste was devine. Afterwards the staff brought free fruit on a bed of dry ice and a fruit compote. Stunning. At £45 for two inc. drinks it is dear for Beijing, but super cheap for the West considering the incredible experience that it is. Just do it! " More >
