"Having grown up in Austria, this restaurant is pretty close to the " real " thing.
We had the spaetzle smothered in cheese, perfect comfort food for a cold and windy evening.
The salad was 100% authentic and delicious !
Had a side order of sauerkraut which needed some work ( the kraut could have bee..."n cooked longer and the taste improved)
The apfelstrudel had chunks of apples (too large) and no raisins (pity), ice cream and whipped cream on the side was overkill.
All in all this is a very good place to have a taste of "home".

"Another new restaurant in Alameda - and gladly welcomed! Minh Nguyen and her Manager, Hanh Nguyen, have created a welcoming space with delicious Vietnamese food. Even the traditional Vietnamese coffee was well worth the wait (as we watched drip after drip) - could only wish for more! The Pho Thap..." Cam (combination beef and seafood) was a rich flavored broth. Com Tam Bi Ga (Broken-grain rice plate with grilled chicken and pork cake) met with suitable ohs and ahs. Pleasant service and delightfully decorated space - made us want to visit Vietnam.

Simple menu with choices that are done well. If you liked Mussels and Fries when you were in Paris last, this is the place. But beware - they are one of the most popular items and sell out. Menu changes on the weekend - brunch only 8am-3pm, then closed until 5:30 when dinner starts (Saturday only; closes at 3 pm on Sunday). Weekday hours 8am-10pm. Now for the food - six different entrees and everyone pleased. Some have returned multiple times for the house made creamy mint dressing served on the Napa Chicken Salad. Back before an A's game - the group went for the burgers and Crunchy Chicken Club - and loved them. Staff willing to substitute...
