"It is fantastic to eat authentic Italian food surrounded by local people and a family that have obviously been in the business for generations. My husband and I live in Florence ( we are from London) and come to the beach in this area most years. This restaurant is by far our favourite. The staff r..."emember us now ( which is always nice), and they often offer us dishes that are not on the menu. The wine list is good and there is a new chef who is obviously bringing in some new ideas to the kitchen as we have found that some dishes (especially the preparation of vegetables) has improved. They do have high chairs, but need to get ones with a cental bar for really little tots ( ours is 9 months, and i dont like putting him in a chair without a central bar). "i am sure, their pizza is fantastic. cooked perfectly and made with good matters. the fish is, instead, so so. prices just a bit high. interesting are also the desserts...
buon appetito!"
"Stayed in a nearby hotel and decided to try this local restaurant. We were hungry so didn't spend time searching the area. Glad we tried it. Busy but service was quick and friendly. outside was full, inside was bustling but had air con. Bruschetta starter was tasty and good sized portion (6 pieces!)...", loved the pizza menu idea of a pizza from each region of Italy (speck, pesto, truffles, hams etc etc from each area) I went for the Calabria version. Can't remember the name of the stuff on it (njuda?? or something, probably calabrese for rocket fuel!!)), spiciest pizza I've ever tasted, excellent!!. others had, pasta with ragu and another excellent pizza. I then had a type of tiramisu and a coffee. Price was reasonable.
If you're in the area give it a try. I'd go back to try a pizza from a different area (trentino, sicily or sardinia or umbria or .....)
