"A lovely setting, a warm welcome from the owner, beautiful decor and a talented chef all make for great promise at this attractive venue just outside Ballyvaughan on the Coastal Road. We were surprised to find it almost packed on a Monday night in mid-May. Most of the diners appeared to be local and..." were in good spirits. We were graciously put at a large table in the back room, the only one open at the time. While missing the water view, it was considerably quieter than the main dining room this evening.
Our appetizers. a goat cheese salad and crab claws were both sublime. My wife and I both opted for the wild turbot as our main course,and we were both delighted with the preparation. The sides of vegetables and potatoes were fine but a little out of synch with the more creative main courses. The desserts and wine list also were quite pleasing.

"This is the where everyone goes. You can find both locals and tourists here. They have a good size menu and the food that we had was very good. I had dinner there twice and both times it was packed. There is a pub area to have drinks and a more conventional dining room. You may have to wait a few..." minutes for a table but who is in a hurry in Ballyvaughn anyway?
