On the evening we went the restaurant seemed to be overwhelmed with possibly unexpected diners wit..."h the consequence that they were dreadfully understaffed in both kitchen and front of house. The frustration was evident on both diners and staff. We were served in reasonable time spans ( never received an ordered coffee) but did feel for the others.   "Friendly, civilized people will serve you good and fresh food (lunch only) for reasonable prices. What more can you ask. Reservations for lunch are obligatory, as all tables are full. The salads are great, the mussels look good (didn't try them). For wine, the "picher" is of very good quality (rosé)..." and cheap.   "It is rare for me to write a review online, but we just finished having the most wonderful meal at Auberge Provencale thanks to reading reviews on Trip Advisor. There were nine of us including three children, and the staff could not have been more accommodating, nor the food any better. Some of us..." chose the fixed price 26 euro menu (3 course),, 13 euro for the children, and some had the 33 euro menu. Our waiters were exceptionally patient and helpful in explaining the menu. I chose the duck confit, crete brûlée and fish starter. They were outstanding. This is a delightful restaurant that is quaint and charming. We had been looking for an authentic restaurant that wasn't a tourist trap. We are happy we found this gem. A special thanks to the two waiters who made the night perfect. Merci. " More >
