"We were heading home to London at dawn the following day so decided to have an early dinner at the Glicine. It was cold and wet on a dark February evening but as soon as we entered this warm and inviting little trattoria I knew we were in for a good experience. The menu is quite comprehensive but we..." were just in the mood for a quick and satisfying dish rather than a four course marathon .We both opted for the meltingly tender wild boar, stewed in a rich tomato and red wine sauce. it came with the best homemade tagliatelle I have ever tasted. The portions are quite small but adequate for us as we are more concerned with quality than quantity. We had baby artichoke salad & fried zucchini flowers ..."for primeri & bigoli pasta with lamb ragout & tonnarelli pasta with botarga (dried fish roe) and all were well cooked and presented. We had a few glasses of house wine including 2 proseccos to start plus water and our bill was 74 euro. The staff were very friendly but became inattentive when they got busy. We found the restaurant difficult to find as we were trying to navigate the narrow winding road in the dark. The sign, when we finally saw it, has arrows going both ways which we found later, after we were eventually able to turn around, point to the restaurant and the car park. The sign says the car park is 40m but it is more like 150m in one direction while the restaurant entrance i...
