"We ate at lots of restaurants , both lunch and dinner during our stay in Sorrento. Two came out on top, and this one was my most favourite.
The atmosphere in the street eating was really good, the service was very nice, polite, and very helpful with suggesting menus. We had two wonderful meals here...", I loved the shrimp and pasta of my choice, cooked to how I liked it, they did everything I asked them to do, lots of garlic, large shrimp no shell, etc....
We did get a service charge but it was less than I would have tipped, so I added to the service charge, Great selection of wine, and they truly will cook anything you want even if its not on the menu.
The staff work hard to please and also the owner/manager is a very pleasant man who was on hand all night for any questions. The cost of the meal with wine was about 50 Euros but that was for two, with half bottle red and half bottle white wine, plus a complimentary Lemonchello.

"Whilst walking through the mainstreet a sweet italian man said a friendly hello and advised that the pasta was made fresh daily. We had a browse over the menu which is always tricky when being vegetarian, it was amazing so much choice and variety.
As he walked us through the entrance to be seated ..."it was magical, a hidden graden with a water feature lots of seating both in and outside. The food was delicious and generous.
The second time we went in we passed the same man who again said hello complimented our outfits and we carried on only then to return within 20 mins to eat.
Salads are large even though they are stated as a side. I lovely romantic atmosphere, staff extremely friendly. You must pop in before you leave sorrento.

We decided to eat at La Vela Bianca as it looked inviting and was wheelchair accessible. We were among the first few customers at 9 p.m. but shortly afterwards the place was full...." The restaurant staff provided excellent service and our meals were delicious. I had the lasagna which was the best lasagna I have ever had -- creamy cheese in a tomato sauce with lasagna noodles cooked to perfection. The others in our party had a four cheese pizza, tagliolini with crab sauce (lick the plate good), seafood risotto and for desserts, profiteroles and tiramasu. Everything was delicious including the complimentary breads while waiting for our meals. Highly recommended. One note: if you don't have a car, walking down to the port area may be difficult but other reviews indicate their is a free shuttle service provided by the restaurant which would make it easy to get to a...
